Targeted treatment for oral mucositis and dry mouth

Mucosamin treats and relieves the symptoms of oral mucositis (OM). OM is an acute inflammatory and ulcerative complication of the mucosal membrane that commonly occurs during cancer therapy. OM is one of the more significant side-effects of cancer treatment and can result from systemic chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or a combination of the two.

Mucosamin protects the healthy oral mucosa, whilst providing pain relief and promoting accelerated wound healing of painful lesions, following oral surgery.^1,2 It has been formulated to help the process of regeneration of the oral mucosa, promote healing of areas of ulceration, and reduce local sensitivity within the mouth. Mucosamin forms a soothing layer to hydrate the oral mucosa and modulates osmotic balance to help relieve the symptoms of dry mouth.³

It is recommended for use alongside the patients daily dental routine and can be used in combination with Mucosamin Oral Spray for convenient and effective relief.
