What is Mucosamin used for?
Muscosamin is used to relieve the symptoms of oral mucositis and protect the healthy lining of your mouth before, during and after cancer treatment (radiotherapy and/or chemotherapy).
Mucositis is a common side effect of cancer treatment and can cause the lining of your mouth to become sore and inflamed.
Mucosamin Mouthwash and Mucosamin Oral Spray treat dry mouth and oral mucositis induced by cancer treatment; chemotherapy, radiotherapy or both, oral lesions and inflammation of the mouth following oral surgery and burning mouth syndrome.
Who can use Mucosamin?
Patients who are experiencing mucositis side effects from cancer treatment from chemotherapy or radiation. Mucosamin can also be used for patients following oral surgery, or those suffering from dry mouth or burning mouth syndrome. Mucosamin can also be used to help heal mouth ulcers or following surgery in the mouth.
Can Mucosamin be used by children?
Yes, it can be used in children. Mucosamin Mouthwash should be used when the child is able to control when they swallow, 6 years onwards.
What does Mucosamin contain?
Sodium hyaluronate and synthetic amino acids -glycine, L-Proline, L-Leucine, L-Lysine HCL – these amino acids assist in the process of wound repair and act as an antioxidant1 – this means that they can protect healthy tissues (mucosa) from damage caused by reactive oxygen species while supporting wound healing.

How often should I use Mucosamin?
Mucosamin Mouthwash can be used 3 to 4 times a day and Mucosamin Oral Spray can be used as often as required according to the severity of your symptoms

Muscosamin can be used pre-treatment to help protect, during treatment for pain relief and post treatment for wound healing.
Are there any side effects?
Don’t use if you have any known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients contained in Mucosamin. No reports of side effects or interactions with drugs or medicinal substances. No known secondary effects during pregnancy and breastfeeding; use at physician’s discretion.
